Welcome to Ladybeads
We are a bead shop, gallery space and studio workshop that offers a range of services including bead and jewellery making classes, repairs, children’s birthday parties, ladies nights and monthly art exhibitions.
Ladybeads consists of a shop front and gallery space with a studio workshop that is available to contemporary jewellers and artists for either short or long term use.
Stocked with a wide range of local and imported beads and equipment, the store provides a family friendly atmosphere for people to learn jewellery making skills and techniques.
Ladybeads is owned and operated by local artist and bead aficionado Ashley Playfair, who has worked in the industry for the past five years. There is an onsite jeweller, Juju Haifawi, who is available for silver repairs, alterations and commissions.
Ladybeads goal is to combine three creative spaces (bead shop, gallery, studio) that support each other giving artists the opportunity to use the shop as a platform to sell their pieces or show them in a gallery space.
